The pillars are pretty unobtrusive once they've been placed. This is not criticism. Don't want too much visual noise. But it does make it easy to lose them and lose track of them, especially once you've got a few of them in play.



I wonder if it's possible (or if it's already possibly and I didn't notice) to be able to be able to tell what individual pillars are doing and more importantly, how many turns they have left, by mousing over them or clicking on the district?



This occurred to me when I placed a knowledge pillar on a district and then discovered it prevented me from building a borough expansion there while it was still active. Oops! But I don't know how many turns the pillar has left before I can start work on the expansion.



If there is already a way to do this, somebody let me know. I didn't see any indicators.

They seem to last around ten to fifteen turns (I haven't really timed them myself), but other than manually counting each pillar's turns there doesn't seem to be anything. Cancelling them, getting a timer on them and having the knowledge/influence pillars work like the tooltip suggests (placing them ON districts, not on tiles) would all be great additions.

But it's an early build for the Mages, so hopefully all that is planned. All you can do now is wait them out and hope it isn't another 9-14 turns.

The pillars do indeed last 10 turns. They are already working on the duration tooltip, as stated here:
