So, having played through the game for a while (loving it, of course) I've come up with one major (not really) gripe; one that I'd like to share with you now.

Why can't I use the colour yellow for my faction when starting up a new game?! I know that it's currently used in-game for quest-related units, but I'm rather annoyed by the fact that I can't play my Necrophages with yellow highlights, especially given that, according to this:







Yellow is more or less the official colour of the faction.



Can we please change the quest-unit colour to, I dunno, Sepia or Ochre or something? Please?

I agree, A different colour should be given to the quest related armies. I hope they swap it out for something. When playing single player I always use the 'correct' colour for every faction, but unfortunately cannot with the necrophages, hence why I have yet to play as them. I'm so OCD about colours lol.



I wish the artwork would change colour depending on the faction colour you choose - after all - It does for the Leader portraits! I'd personally LOVE it if it worked like that for all the faction/unit art. It niggles me when playing the broken lords with the 'blue faction colour' that the units are the correct colour, but the artwork clearly shows them tailored in red lol

yes yellow is a nice color and all, but it is an eyesore when used for a major faction :\ maybe its just me, but if you tamper with the correct xml you can see what it looks like. So maybe a lighter yellow would be more suiting?

Buzzkill has a strong point, the default colour for Necrophages was clearly yellow in all the artwork. It would be nice to have that consistency in the game. Its an easy fix, just swap the colour used for quest armies out, and replace it with a different colour, perhaps a turquoise or a teal? or BROWN?

btw when they were showing the game at conventions pre-EA Yellow was one of the colors for major empires... (not to mention its apparently part of the colorblind color set)











I have played a whole game using the vibrant yellow and that's why I am saying its an eye sore. And last I checked we have lavender not fluorescent pink in the game

All I am saying is that a more cream-type color might be better.





But you are right, the necrophage units are awesome with bright yellow:

Ill get a better screenshot soon, one that show what it looks like to have many yellow territories

Huh I'm not alone.

I want yellow as an option for Necrophages even more now since Roving Clans look so sexy in orange.

Hmmm, I've always been quite certain they're more Light Green than Dark Green. Granted, the Wild Walkers are probably the faction who's art is the least useful in this regard. The only evidence to support this notion I have is their architecture, as seen in this video:

I've added a Gold (for Necrophages) a Dark Orange (for Vaulters) and a Light/Pale Orange (for Roving Clans)
