Heroes Update?

There are some things that has been taken to my attention regarding the Heroes (sorted by priority) :


1. Before recruiting the Heroes in the Marketplace, when inspected, I can't fully see what can be equipped to the Heroes. The UI locked everything... I think it's better to show what's equippable on Heroes


2. There is such a narrow and fixed skillset. I understand that there's three major differentiation : the Common, the Class, and the Faction, but I think there's space for improvement?


3. The Class of the Heroes also seemingly narrow.. One Faction with one Class? It's understandable that DLC Hero has different Class in their Factions (like Sable Deceiver Bayaari Kuula, Mezari/Vaulter) but some are not (Researcher Nammkang, Drakken - although personally, I want Nammkang to be different or Jiradujeva is different) but this is not the case with the existing Hero. It's hard to have a developing Class (it will change the gameplay - and the genre? - to be more like RPG and seemingly weird in turn-based 4X) or changing Class (though I don't see the drawback, like the first time I saw Jiradujeva I thought he would wield a spear or Pecs Kerre holding an ax) but there should be more in a Faction? 


4. No option to create/breed/recruit new Heroes other than the Marketplace (or Quests)


5. A feature of renaming your Heroes?




My Idea :


1. You can show through icons on all Heroes of what's equippable (like most RPG games; FF or FE - or just like how you show Heroes' Class) or just unlock the UI when inspecting Heroes that has not been recruited with locking the equip movement/apply?


2. I feel bland through the skillsets because some of the Factions share the same Class anyway so there's not much of differentiation, usually in building an army-specified Hero. While maybe the development for city-specified Hero is linear, I think it's nicer to develop more skillsets for army-specified ones. There's also implementation of abilites that can be increased like the likes of "Valete Sapiri Kugua" but not seen on other Heroes.. It's a shame that specific [Name of Hero] don't have a specific ability or skill to be chosen, or their existing ability to not be devloped.


3.  The implementation change of Class is a nice one, or for some Heroes there's some equippable that's unlocked without changing their Class (and or the Class' skillset), 

like the Jiradujeva holding a spear but still retain the Support-Class Hero skillset. This small change of equippable might also remedy the dullness in skillset, I guess? It might even be combined, like a Baron Joslyn Deval with a specific skill to hold a 2H and a shield on him. Or maybe just release a new update or DLC featuring more Heroes with different Class than their usual Factions XD


4. It's understandable unlike Warcraft or Starcraft with the Altar/Throne/Tavern that can just buyout or train Heroes on your own, but the Marketplace is also a 'buyout' kind of thing, isn't it? I sometimes want to overgo the Marketplace science section and research other stuff but it seemingly is a must research to have other Heroes. To train or create Heroes is also a weird thing to be implemented, but what about promotion? Like Stellaris (which is random and automatized), maybe a max level unit can be promoted (or create and event/quest to do so) to be a Hero? So in the upcoming turns, I might have a new Hero without researching the Marketplace although the drawback is I would have less access to Heroes in early stage of the game...


5. The Naming Rights feature for City/Region/Sea and Army is nice, so why not for the Heroes? , I thought XD. I know that they have significant background stories in the description but can it just be like replaced by a title, so the renamed Heroes have " Name " in their names?

If there are some features or DLC that actually that already implement things as such, please do show me kindly >,<

If you guys have better idea on how to tackle the things I encountered or just a different opinion on how it's good as it is, please discuss :D


Probably the Devs have much in their plate for Endless Space 2 (or creating Endless Legend 2?? O,O) but I think Endless Legend deserve some attention as well. (I know the Inferno DLC will be coming soon as well :D, but maybe just a bit of more ideas) I have much hope for the game, so it's like a developing game/universe with the updates and DLCs and not a deadset with an inevitable dying era. It's fine if there's an end to the updates and preparation for a sequel new different gameplay but I hope it won't be so dead and long-lasting like the FF Series.

You could try the Endless Heroes mod in the Steam Workshop. It adds a wide variety of heroes to the roster and expands their skillsets. You might need to wait for a proper Inferno update to the mod though.
