Currently the combat animation speed is selected when starting a new game.



While it can make sense in MP to not be able to change it during a game, it should be allowed to do in single player mode.



Indeed, you might want to play at normal speed during the first combats of the game, when you have few units and you want to admire the animation of the units, and then then you might want to switch to 2x/3x afterwards when there is plenty units involved and the combat are becoming longer.



Also it might be cool to have x1.5 speed level.

I agree. Not to be too picky but 2X is a little too fast...

A 1.5x speed setting for the battles would be appreciated, as would a button to speed up combat during the game. I don't like setting battle speed up in a general setting, since I may want to watch a battle, but there are always times where I pick manual to make sure one unit or another does not die, but am stuck watching since I'm already done with my empire management.

It could also be nice to have the possibility to change the unit speed on the strategic map.

I just wanted to pop in and say I agree with this



Usually I like to be in control of things especially in the early game... BUT in the late game, having so many units makes the battles super slow and tedious. Would be nice to have the in-game option for faster animation
