In Endless Space, the ability to move the population from a planet to another within a system was a useful feat.

I'm just curious to know if it was considered to add that same option in Endless Legend?

Maybe not through the simple pick and slide on the towns management tab, but maybe through the creation of a settler and sending it to another town?

(the action of putting it in garrisson would add it to the population, for instance)

To be honest, I don't remember being able to move population between planets in Endless Space (Disharmony?). Can you plz tell me how? Thanks in advance!

Also, if possible it would be nice to have such a feature incorporated into EL, at least as a custom faction trait OR a technology to be researched OR at least for Broken Lords cuz they desperately need something like it...

Yes, when you are in the system view with all planets and you see the population on each planet, you can just click on the smiley: stickouttongueopulation: of one planet, and drag it to another one.

I can't remember if it's related to disharmony, been a long time i didn't play ES.

Moving people between planets is to ES what moving population around the different resources is to EL.

When I saw this thread, I thought you'd be talking about the ability to move population between different star system (by building extra Colonization Ships and using them in an already colonized system). This could be an addition to EL, maybe; another use for Settlers.

Population was only able to be moved between systems using settlers, which is much more akin to the mechanic in EL than the transferring of population between planets in a system. Which, as already stated, is more like transferring your workers between the different resource options, but even this falls short of being too similar, as each planet had different FIDS outputs and a cap on population unlike in EL.

Yes i know that it's like moving workers in the different FIDSI.

I just think about it like Kruos sees it, to send settlers to cities with less food production.

It kinda steps also maybe on the idea of the food stockpiles. But the thing is that, when conquering cities, when you don't end up wanting them, and neither do you want to give the cities back to a faction, salting the cities will produce a settler (i didn't check if it's still the same since the release) that won't be of any use if you don't wish to expand.

In several games, i ended up using them as scouts, waiting for them to, at some point get killed by some roaming or anything.

So to me it would be nice to have that option.
