Some suggestions for improvement

I played the game a few times now. I restarted my first three games on normal as the Vaulters, trying to figure everything out. Then everything clicked and I won a game as the Vaulters on normal, and one as the cultists. By reloading these games, I also did every victory and I absolutely love the game. In particular, I am blown away by how different the play styles were between those two factions and I am eager for more.



I do have two minor suggestions and seeing that games2gether initiative you guys are doing I thought I would share them here.



1. Option to default to auto-battle.

I am not a big fan of the tactical battles. While I love tactical battle games, the large AI emphasis just annoys me. I simply want full control over movement and attacking. Hence, I have started to use auto-battle every time, and it is quite annoying if I accidentally forget to use it. It would be great to be able to default to it (which would also speed up multiplayer).



2. On-screen clock/alarm clock

4X games take up a lot of time and I loved Civilization's alarm clock function to avoid losing too much time to it. It would be great if Endless Legend would have that too.

I must say that I disagree with the suggestion of the automatic option by default in battles



There is nothing worse than letting automatic battle and see the AI has made a ravage that you could have saved.



The solution would be to let the player choose which option you want by default. (or even remove the option to choose if you want)

Yeah, I think his point was that he just wants a UI option to change which button will be the default for him when he's playing.

For a fast multi-player game having an option to require auto-resolve (or require spectator mode) in all battles would be welcome! (is this already in? I've only played a little multi-player.)



I also really want an option to PREVIEW a fight before starting it, like just look at what (visible) units would be involved. Maybe I'm just dense but I'm used to other games where you click on an enemy and get some kind of basic information first and a "would you really like to pick this fight?" before being locked into combat.
