AI reinforcement decision flawed for Cultists?

Hi. So does the Cultist AI always reinforce a weaker army when defending a converted village? At least from what I have seen this seems to be the case. When I attack an army with 1-3 units with an army of 6 units (+6 reinforcements of my own) the AI always chooses to reinforce when they have a larger army nearby. To make matters worse they often position their starting units on the reinforcement spots so no reinforcements for them in round 1. This obviously results in a massacre of their units as they enter the battlefield. Sometimes they even sacrifice whole city garrison and give me a free city like this. :P



I do not how the AI makes the decision to reinforce village defenders, but it seems to calculate the results of battle as if all reinforcements would enter the battle instantly while in reality they just feed them 2 at a time leaving them in a 1:4 disadvantage (horrible odds). Probably under normal circumstances AI would retreat but village defenders can not retreat or does the AI overvalue his villages?



Probably should pick my opponents manually because of all the numerous AI problems related to Cultists faction mechanics to avoid getting free capitals :P

Does the AI actually ever not reinforce their troops? Is it actually able to "uncheck" the reinforcements?



If not that could be the issue.
