Minor Faction: The Remotes



Lore: Usually called as "inconceivably old but relentless automatic servants, that survived better than their masters". Though their mechanics might look outdated, their combat tactics aren't that corrupted by rust.



Assimilation bonus/village: +8% exp income (from any source) for units and heroes



Unit: the Brick

Appearance: looks much like a box with two legs and arms; on top of it, lies staff or crossbow (and shield on the right arm); during the shot, it will stand on all four; taking damage will force the Brick to block it by hands or shield.

Unit lore: though this is old construct, it is still able to deal devastating blow.



STATS:

Type: ranged (3)

Life: 60

Defense: 18

Attack (strike chance): 40

Damage: 30

Initiative: 18

Movement Speed: 4

Sight: 3

Other traits:

- Sharp Shooter - increased critical strike chance by 10%

Industry cost: 80



ITEM slots:

- Weapon: Longscepters (reduces def. on hit) or crossbow/shield

- Armor

- Boots

- Accesory

- (no Helm)



Other things:

1. Why it's ranged? Because there are these unit types of minor factions: 4 Infantry, 3 Support, 3 Flying, 3 Cavarly and... only 2 Ranged! This is Madness!

2. Few (or more) might see in that idea feature(s?) or similarities used in games, so... there they are:

- Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance - tech 3 Cybran unit, the Brick

- Planescape: Torment - in that dark fantasy game you can find modrons, race looks much like the one i 'made' above

... more sins I do not remember :P

Well, actually they don't have to, thanks to incoming Torment: Tides of Numenera! FloCK YEAH! ... actually, EL somewhat is familiar to P:Torment, it's just a little bit less dark, no? EL just lacks the freakin Remotes xD
