I see a lot of talk about Custom Factions. Are these Factions available for play, or do you have to edit code? Are they proposed Factions requesting Amplitude make them?



I have other questions but let's start with this. I don't see an F.A.Q. or HOW TO for Custom Factions. If it exists please point the way.

Custom factions are kind of build-it-yourself factions. You don't have to edit code.



If my memory serves, there's a button on the left window, near the bottom, labelled "Select Faction." If you click that, it should take you to a new window, where there's a button for "New." Click that and go to town!

btw, I had custom Mages, added them the trait that they can't Bribe or quest with minor factions. Bad idea, because I can't do any main quest...

Yeah pitiless can be pretty crippling. I am not a fan of it on Broken Lords, since sometimes it can effect your treasurey--be it through combat or lack of quest rewards.

And dust is your everything!



I've been tempted to put together a challenge build;



Cultists with pitiless!

There are a few traits which can break main quests, it's a shame. My Drakken questline exploded when I was asked to occupy an enemy city with Weapons of the Enemy. Sure... you want me to occupy this smoking mound? No? Aww...
