Names could use more space.

Hi.

Firstly, I'm enjoying your game very much. While I'm still terribly new at it and getting whomped, it's still an excellent example of a beautiful 4x strategy game.

This is a tiny suggestion, but one that continually leaves me frustrated with just about every game I play that allows us to edit names such as the cities, specifically within EL.

There just never seems to be enough space to input a longer name. When naming our cities, there is only room for 10 characters on the edit list. So, this is just a suggestion to lengthen that.

And if it's possible through a simple XML adjustment or something, let me know.

In a more general sense, I don't understand why game creators/producers continue to limit the characters allowed for naming to the points that they do in games when surely, programs can support much more these days? Again, I'm not singling out Amplitude or anyone in particular, but I have been dealing with this consistently in the 25 years I've been heavily playing video games.

Am I misunderstanding a basic concept of the programming here that requires less input for edited characters/cities/units within the program itself? I understand there HAS to be some limit for visual purposes in the very least, but I cannot count the times I've tried to use a reasonable name and been forced to stunt or change it due to length restriction.

I know this is about as 1st World problems as one can get, but my mind has been crying out "Why?! Why these limits?" in so many different instances over the years, I'm just seeking explanation to my eroding sanity about this subject.

Thanks for any input!
