An auto play mode so you can...



1. Just relax, listen to the music and watch the various factions do there thing.



2. Pick the faction you want to play after watching for a while, because that faction is in a interesting position, can possibly achieve a certain type of victory, is on the brink and needs your leadership etc.

Interesting idea, reminds me a lot of a Mount & Blade (a very different game) -- where you assume the role of a hero in a multi-factional war, you can play as a footman, war leader, or lord for anyone who will take you -- or you can sit on your hands and the war will move on without you.

Romance of the 3 kingdoms had this feature. It would be nice to watch your creation achieve victory after you've set everything up. Right now I just start a new game after I beat a faction or two.

Someone know more games with autoplay? My discovers:



Heroes 3: press TAB , type gosolo , press ENTER =- it takes AI to complete your turn (move heroes, build structures, ect.)



Rise of Nations: press ENTER , type cheat computer red , press ENTER =- now you share controls with AI in same time



Mount&Blade (all versions): go to game settings, find "Enable cheats", during fight press CTRL+F5 =- Now AI control character for you, enjoy



More will come if someone will be intrested in HANDS OFF games where you can play, but also AI can help you.

Thank you demoi! Very interesting. I think you can set the governors to auto manage they're cities to some degree.



I just thought it might be a dev tool already and might be fairly easy for them to implement.

I tried your suggestion, but it's not as I need with full AI control. It would be cool if AI takes control your units too. So I give you one more game: Age of Wonders 3 , it's similar to Endless Legend, so it's peace of cake for me:

before launch game at launcher go to miscelious and enable debug mode then run and start the game , in game press ctrl+alt+c then type AI , =- AI take fully control of your units, cities, spells, ect. On next turn you can control your kingdom again and every time you can type AI again to let AI play for you. For my long experience with that AoW3 right now have best AI support to help you. Other game genres have different specifics, but if more people will be intrested I'm ready to explain. I <3 AI
