There are 2 map mods: zoomed in and zoomed out.

Zoomed out one shows resources, roads, towers, ruins. It does not show anomalies for some reason. Can we get anomaly icon there?

In zoomed in mode you can see everything if you look closely or turn on Show Yield mode. However is' hard to see anomalies, resources, ruins, towers. It's just inconvenient to zoom out to see those things with ease or to turn off yield to see anomalies.

In a city screen you already have highlights for resources and towers in the region. Can we get those also for anomalies and unspoiled ruins and show it when you zoom in or maybe hover your mouse over region? The latter will be especially nice cause you can't really quickly see all the resources in region before you colonize it.

I agree. I only noticed these a few days ago after weeks of playing. I've been turning on FIDS yields to help spot anomalies.

But you can only see FIDS when you zoomed in and therefore do not see all the other icons. Also it obscures tile itself so you don't see if it's anomaly, resource or ruins till you hover mouse over it.

Yet again, I repeat myself when I say that we should be able to toggle such symbols on and off by choice rather than the game's decision based on zoom level.

I want to see icons for resources, anomalies, villages, and watchtower foundations that can be turned on and off at will, displaying the correct artwork when zoomed in and a stylized icon when zoomed out (for reference, the pointers in the city screen would work well when zoomed in, and the resource icons at medium zoom level work well when zooming out.)

Forests, cliffs, and rivers need to be clearer on the zoomed out map (as do the anomalies).

And I would love to be able to toggle between map modes. I think I once came across a dev saying they'd find it a shame if people never used the cloth-map style they have when zoomed out, but that disregards that many times I would like to switch to that style (with some minor improvements) while zoomed in.
