I've just noticed that level 2 titanium and glassteel armor are worse than level 1 dust armor, and by a far margin. Is this as intended?



It just seems weird that level 2 titanium and glassteel weapons and items outperform their level 1 dust counterparts, and here we have level 1 dust armor outperforming level 2 titanium glassteel armor. For me, even if this was as intended, I don't think that it should be, because that would mean there would be littler incentive in researching alchemical armor, if I can save on strategic resources and simply delay, as dust armor would show up whatever I research anyway.

I don't know if it's intended, but I consider tier 2 strategic armor tech a must for Titanium Rings, and I even end up researching both tier 1 techs in order to reduce the strategic costs.

The dust armor starts in era 4 though and that is a long time to go without a strategic resource equipped army.

Are you teling me that tier1 and tier 2 discount on titanium/glassteal tech are cumulative ? So it may end up pretty cheap...but at the cost of 4 reasearch. is that right ?

Yup, that's correct. With all 4 researches, a t2 ring or claymore costs 3.8, while a t2 insignia costs 8-point-something. (I believe the exotic techs contribute as well, but don't have them handy atm.)
