There's a lot that can be done to exploit AI empires. And probably, despite Amplitude's best efforts, there always will be. There are more people working on the exploit side of the equation than on the fix side smiley: smile

This isn't as huge of a problem in single-player games as it is in multi-player games. Exploiting AI is part of the game. But in multi-player games, when players drop for whatever reason, the game suddenly changes drastically in favor of anyone with influence or a nearby army. AI are easily exploited pickings.

The responsible thing to do for players is to salt the earth with all of their cities and destroy their settlers if they have to drop. Unfortunately, drops don't always come with warning, and not all players are responsible.

Can we have an option to eliminate dropped players rather than replace them with AI?

A good suggestion, but to be fair the game would still change if an empire suddenly vacated the game, because the open territory they occupied would easily be exploited by their neighbours to the disadvantage of any empire that either didn't border them, or didn't have the ability to exploit the open territory at that time.

This idea is unpossible to apply Natev.

Because, when you make a war with a guy and when you are winning, he will quit soon or later, and you SHOULD been rewarded with his cities, if not it means you have waste tons of ressources to break his military force, but have no reward at all, thus you have loosed, whereas the others players have won.

Another thing : players can just been deconnected, so it would be this automatic option would need a time limit, like what, 10 minutes ? After 10 minutes of deconnexion, the cities are destroyed ?

In my opinion when a player leave it's generally because he loosed, and it's normal the invading player can take his cities. Others players can team vs him (the true natural solution) if he is becoming too strong.

If you put the A.I on impossible, the humans will have more difficulties to conquier it.

I hear what you're saying, Jojo-- i guess it wasn't a particularly well thought out suggestion. Although personally I tend to wage war for elimination and not particularly for the loot.

But impossible AI don't work. It's not much harder to exploit them diplomatically, and if you do, the rewards for getting them to declare war are much larger, and they're almost always drowning in resources from their bonuses.
