It would be so, so cool to be able to hear other players whispers. I know players could communicate in other ways, but would they?



If there was an "intercept whispers" action, it would also let infiltrators gain seniority in non-obvious ways. Only the Forgotten have any invisible espionage actions right now. Edit: I forgot about steal vision.



As far as implementation goes, I would recommend a level 3-5 action, "Intercept communications". Level 3 would intercept outgoing whispers only, for 3 turns. Level 4 would intercept ingoing or outgoing whispers for 5 turns. Level 5 would intercept ingoing or outgoing whispers for 10 turns.

If such a features would have to born, it would lead most of the players to only whisper crucials informations on Steam if there is a forgotten player in the game, because the persons are not honests and tend to always abuse.



It is not nice but it is like that.





Maybe the forgottens could have more global informations as : X city have been taken, or X player declared war to Y player. Personnaly I don't like it because it would give them a too important advantage to backstab players, especially in multiplayer.



I would prefer a faster pillage for them, because today it is too slow at the beginning of the game, so pillage become only a viable strategy in the end of ERA 2, and later. Pillage is extrememely fun to play, and giving them a faster pillage would give them more fun and more advantage (they are economiquely too much weak in my opinion).

I don't like it as it would force players to turn to alternative communication methods(for example voice chat) over the default steam whispers that can be tapped into. It's very unnecessary for a 4x game and making a built in feature a disadvantage makes no sense whatsoever.
