I don´t think it´s hard, or that any significant change would have to be made, but it could be an opportunity to add further balance into the game. This is not a thread to discuss balance itself, but like any suggestion, it will require balance and help in that is needed. Ultimately, I´m sure amplitude can find the sweet spot in case the ideas are welcome.



1 - Give different levels of the spying capacity to different heroes. Maybe some Ardent Mages and Vaulters could have level 3. Maybe the Cultist faction tree could get a single last tier skill for extra counter-spying. Maybe Necro governors are not the best at the gentle art of counter-intelligence.



2 - Give Detection as a base skill to some units. Shamans, Priests and Caecatores come to mind.



3 - Give Camouflage as a base skill to some units. I think it would be fun on Yirmaks, but I´m not sure about balanced. Tetikes and Vinesnakes maybe?



4 - Maybe the most demanding suggestion, but it would be really incredible if the effect from hostile actions could be scaled along with seniority. So if you have 0 seniority, you can only possibly reduce up to 20% fortifications; when you get 5(?) seniority, you can then reduce it up 50%, and so on. Make seniority really really interesting to be achieved while toning down the excessive Actions. The samee should be applied to reducing Population. 0 seniority should never allow for more than one Population killed.



edit: Infiltation levels should talk less about the intensity of effects and more about probability of sucess, while seniority takes care of intensity. Kinda of the opposite of how it works right now.
