I just bought Dungeon of the Endless, and found it really cool. So, I decided to get the Crystal Pack to unlock the Mezari.



Picked them, started the game and... I'm just so disappointed. Not because they are just Vaulters, I knew that, but they lack the attention to details other factions have.



Let's just start with the quest. It clearly refers at the faction as the "Vaulters", and that they come from the underground. But Mezari comes from the stars. Also, the description of the 1st hero states that she came from below the ground, but weren't they coming from stars? And the video. I understand that making a video is much more complicated than just correcting few lines, but it really feels out of place.



I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong, Endless Legend is a wonderful game and so is Dungeon of the Endless, and the Crystal Pack was worth even just for the hero and ship, but the Mezari, a faction I was really looking forward to play, now are a "never again", I can't push myself to play them, I'll just stick with Vaulters.

I empathize. But at this point, it might be too cost-intensive to work on them compared to the rewards.



For myself, I got them mainly so I can get an extra hero to work with that is unique, as I find playing with duplicate heroes un-immersive.

Keep in mind that the Vaulters are the descendants of the Mezari. The name aside, the Vaulters quest could still apply to the Mezari, as it is likely that they went underground shortly after crashing (to survive the cataclysm and Auriga's deadly ecosystem).

Um, Mezari are not the parent faction. The vaulters are. The maze could be a sub-clan lore wise, but actually, they are just a re-skin.

From what I understand, the Vaulters are described as having lived in Auriga's underground labyrinth "for countless generations", forgetting their origins. The Mezari on the other hand are described as space travellers that just arrived on Auriga. So the logical conclusion is that the Mezari were the ancestors of the Vaulters.

Interresting. Well it didnt shock me as I always do my own lore for all factions but ye; some Mezari flavour would be nice. We paid for them after all ^^
