Hey folks,


It's been a little while since we last asked for your input, but that's about to change! Next week, and moving forward, we'll be doing a massive pass through all most popular Ideas, checking how we measure against your expectations and seeing where we can take the game next. What cool other feature does Endless Space 2 need? 


Note that you can also of course still add Ideas if you just got a great one! In case you aren't sure what type of Ideas you can come up with, here's what we mean: an Idea is a suggestion of adding or changing something to make the game better. This can be a new technology, a new weapon, or a change to the way things work, or a request like "more end game quests". 

An Idea is not, for instance a change to balance (these are best discussed in the Game Design forum!).


Here's the process to upvote Ideas:

  1. Go to the Ideas section for Endless Space 2
  2. Check out the Ideas there, you can search for specific terms or just browse
  3. Upvote the ones you think are interesting
  4. Tell your friends about the Ideas section
  5. ????
  6. Profit!


We will review Ideas and see how we can implement the best ones that fit our vision. Due to the large number of Ideas, and to gauge the interest and popularity of an Idea, we're only going to be reviewing Ideas that are above the 250.000 G2G points. It's not that much, but it means your Idea will have to gather a bit of support, so tell your friends!

I think the Endless Universe could use some "Space Monsters" and I think dust would be resposible. Imagine what Amplitude could come up with!

Well, this thread is kinda dead but I wanna post most of my ideas here, and I'll update with each new one. 


1. More Customization Options For Customs Factions Homeworld [Galaxy Creation] 


2. Being Able to Halt/Limit Empire Sphere/Area of Influence [Gameplay]


3. Visible Obelisks of Space-Time [Visual]


4. Visible Vaulter Portals [Visual]


5. Lodestone Planets; Unique Anomalies/Visuals [Gameplay/Visual]


6. Planetary Defense Weapons (Think V-150 Ion Cannon from Star Wars) [Gameplay/Visual]


7. Alliance Voting System (Although there already is an idea like this one by Lototo05 that's super popular, so go an upvote this one as well Alliance Declare War Voting System) [Gameplay]


8. Heretic Vodyani Starships Skin [Visual]


9. 'Sheredyn Fleet' Skin [Visual]

I posted a lot if idea, but the most importants one don't have many success.

It's all about to make game like it is work better, so GUI, ergonomy or things like that. New content is not priority for me.

The most important for me is :

- lack of ergonomy of civil spaceport (need some automatization + tools for making it manageable with information on biome etc..) -> see my 2 ideas about that.

- same kind problem with heros affectations -> 1 idea about that too, with a dual screen.

These problems, any regular or intensive player meet them all along their playing session.

What make Endless series great compared to many other 4x, it's a very good ergnomy. You prefer to play it because it's so easy to manipulate.

BUT... there is some holes. Like these 2 ones. Same on Endless Legend with the "no auto upgrade" of units item.

Most of ergonomy problems from endless series come above the casual play. When you play more long, you begin to deals with all these very annoyous problems. 

It's problems of not needed microgestion, repetitive actions not good for gameplay, missing information at the good place, not the good screen for doing all at once, impossibility to manage something well because of disparate information.

How did I totally missed this bandwagon!


Anyway, here's my QoL improvement idea: better save management

Not too many scores, I guess that's partially because not everyone is lucky enough to get to late game with that many saves, cough* Bugs cough*. However, once most bugs are delt with, I think this would be a good aspect to look into!

I got an Idea for a totally coop gamemode, or victory condition: Coop-Mission victory

You could just untoggle all other victory conditions and activate a super difficult psudeo-story mode.

Mine is currently sitting at 55600.  I think it would be a good idea for multiplayer as it allows people in games with friends to be agressive but not elimiate someone from the game.


What do you guys think? :)

I've got an Idea but I'm not sure how to promote it. Are we able to link our Ideas in the forums?

EDIT: As suggested, I'll post the link to my idea here. It's basically an option to sort the construction options according to how much Industry/turns they need to be constructed (vs. the current system which sorts buildings according to what they produce -- Food, Industry, etc.). The aim of this suggestion is to make managing multiple systems in the later part of the game a bit easier as well as to allow newly colonised systems to develop more fluidly (vs. having a system's development stunted because the player clicked through the construction queue as it's currently presented, hence prioritising high-cost Food buildings over low-cost Industry buildings and so on). Anyway, here is the link.

I have already new and edited idea: "Ressource Mining Oupost"


Some other users and I talked and suggested in the comment section and changed the idea from Mining Ships to outposts. I would be happy if the reader search for it in the next minutes, read it and decides if he or she upvoted it or not.
