Hey Frogsquadron.  I've been keeping a close eye on my email account.  I was just wondering, are you able to tell us a point by which if we haven't received an email with an offer that we should consider ourselves as not selected?  I'm not pressuring or anything like that.  I'm just wanting to try to keep my hopes in check and not let them get too high.  Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

I apolgise, but i don't see the reason or rationale for the full name, address, and occupation. Regardless, i have sent an email. I have chosen to exclude that information. if the exclusion of this info disqualifies me for some bizare reason, then so be it. I would love to know exactly what the reason is for amplitude to require this information. if this is simply a beta, i don't understand why any of that personal information would be needed. Its never been need for any other beta i have ever been appart of, closed, open or otherwise. The only time i have even had to provide things like that would be if i were to be testing out unannounced alpha content, that is being activly suppressed for storyline reasons. But considering you are activly announcing that additional content exists, and it is coming on nov 2 for closed beta, all i can imagine this is would be is a new faction, and perhaps an overhaul of some aspect of the game. But even with that assumption, I do not see how that could possibly warrent NDA, which is the only thing i can think of for the personal info.

Devs, plz.

MorallyGray, The information is likely required for an NDA, Since the content being tested is not currently public knowledge Amplitude probably has the reasonable wish of it not being leaked prior to their official announcement (whenever that be).

True, while that Is the most acceptable assumption, i simply don't have the capacity to trust them with that info, given the limited understanding as to how that info will be used. If i were to be accepted, and were provided something more substantial to go by, ie a legal document to sign, then i would be more forthcoming with the info. As it stands, there is no legal document here, and honestly, it is just a creepy request. Whatever, time will tell what happens from here. All i can say is if they are looking for testers, and don't want info leaked, then i would uphold that request.

Oh that's just cruel.  I just got an email claiming my application for beta testing had been approved.  I got all excited and opened it.  Ended up being a fricken spam email.  One I've never gotten before and it managed to get past my spam filter.  That was heart breaking lol.  Crap.  Looks like it's back to the long wait.  Just thought I would post this here so you guys/gals can all revel in my misery lol.

Yeah, it probably is for that reason.  If there is an NDA, I'll have to remember to disable game streaming in steam before starting to test it.

This closed beta will require signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement before access is granted, so that's information we require. If you do not wish to share this information (or sign the NDA), you will not be eligible to participate in the beta.

I would be willing to sign an NDA, but i would need to see it and read it first before i provide information.

We might actually postpone the beta to early next week, as we will be contacting the players selected with the NDA they will need to fill in before we can open the flood gates!

E-mails have just been sent. Check your spam or promotions folders. If you don't have anything anywhere, then sorry, you didn't make it this time. We had a whole bunch of applicants, so... better luck next time!

I put two together from a cell phone because I thought it may have been time-critical.

I am pretty certain I sent  in 3 different NDA's, all the same info of course. (Thought it was time critical)

That was my mistake I marked one is DocuSign that one was simple correct and a whole lot less confusing. Very sorry for the multiple.

Does anyone know what "place" could be exactly? "My home"? "Place of residence"? Detailed adress?

Should I look to this forum for a announcement on the date it begins or when it begins?  Or will it be emailed to those who are selected? Thanks Frog Squadron

The closed beta will most probably be starting tomorrow evening.

I am currently checking all NDAs that have been sent back for missing mentions and other mistakes. If there's anything wrong, I'll be contacting you by e-mail.

There is no form. The link just opens a blank email addressed to Amplitude. Is this correct? I was expecting a web page with a digital form to fill out, with separate fields.

Also I expect we should get more in depth than just a one word response to our favorite parts of ES2.

Yeah, same here. Is it supposed to just be an email? Because I don't like to be accusatory, but this looks a little sketchy...

Nah we're doing it old school, please copy and paste the questions, and add your answers. :)

It is. This information will not be shared with any third party or used for any purpose other than this specific closed beta.

Ah. I did not copy the questions to the letter, so I hope my email is still acceptable. All of the appropriate information is there at least.

Same here.  Wouldn't simply give me the email address unless I set up the account to my email.  Deleted the account afterward.  I don't like using email clients on my system.  Prefer to stick to webmail for redundancy purposes.

I'm not sure I follow what you did, but just in case: you need that e-mail to be valid because that's how we'll get in touch if you are selected. :)

My email address is valid.  Same one I used to register on this site.  Same one I've used for almost 2 decades.  But whenever I clicked on your "Click Here" link, it would forcefully open my email client on my computer.  In my case windows mail.  But I've never used the email clients on my home computer for my personal accounts (I've used them for my university account, but never my personal account) and hence never actually set it up because I always manage my emails via my providers website.  Because of this, your link wouldn't give me the email address to email you my application, unless I linked the email client to my email provider first.  So that's what I did temporarily, so I could get the email address I needed to send you my application.  I then went to my email provider and emailed you the application.  Then I removed the account from the Windows Mail client, because i don't use Windows Mail.  So it was a difficulty with email clients, not my email address.  I don't use clients on my machine, because I like to keep a certain level segregation in my data.  That way if any one thing fails, it limits what I can potentially lose.  Such as with windows mail.  It took me about a half hour just to confirm that WinMail actually connected my email via IMAP, thankfully.  I needed to confirm this because POP3 has a bad tendency of automatically actually downloading emails to your machine and deleting them from your online inbox if your not careful.  Which is something I didn't want, because I keep certain things in my email account for redundancy such as order invoices for hardware I've purchased over the years so should one fail within warranty I can use my email invoice backup as a proof of purchase date.  Plus I get a lot of spam email due to how old my email account is and the last thing I want is every random piece of who knows what that ends up in any random spam email actually making its way onto my home machine.  It's nothing complicated, it's just the way I do things with certain tech for very specific reasons.  I just like to keep a certain level of segregation in my data.  Both for redundancy and security reasons.

So don't worry, the email address is valid.  I just didn't want to have my email account linked to an email client on my machine that I never actually use.  I use my email everyday via my email providers website.  But I never use an email client on my home machine.

I hope this clears up any confusion Frogsquadron.

Yup, that works. It'd be a lot easier if the mailto protocol could be linked to whatever browser e-mail client one is using, but I guess that's asking too much. c:
