Just wanted mention that this happens to me as well.

I have reproduced it with every faction I have played as (UE, Sophons, Riftborn and Vodyani). It happens 100% of the time, at every point in play, no matter what. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Specs:

MacBook Pro Retina 13-Inch

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

8 GB RAM

Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

We're still investigating the Mac freezing on the Diplomatic screen problem - but we have limited resources in terms of test Mac configurations and personel working on the issue.. So it might take us a bit longer than expected but don't worry we're actively looking into this :)

"Everything" is no useful information...

Did you try to right click on Endless Space 2 in steam game list -> choose properties -> launch options and Enter command: "-compat" and check out, if game is running fine?

the launch options command "-compat" fix the game freezes for me ( choose properties -> launch options and Enter command: "-compat")
