Throughout various playthroughs, I've had issues with resource gathering from one or more resource type.  From what I've been able to tell, if you acquire a resource exploit ability outside of naturally researching it, that the rosource will not be exploited.  This oddly only effect resource gathering abilities

Situations encountered:

Acquired from science trade

Acquried from influence unlocks

Acquired from event

I do see other posts regarding this matter however, I haven't encountered the issue except on playthroughs listed above.
