Hello :)

I'm looking into the first save your provided but everything looks fine on my end :/

Can you upload your DxDiag, Diagnostics files and Output logs, please? This way we can see what happens on your side!

Also, what Quality Level are your running the game on?

(Quality Level is visible/modifiable here:)

Thanks in advance for the info!

Cheers :)

Thank you, i have put some heavy thought and action to this. I recently uninstalled reinstalled and updated openGL along with updating ALL my system drivers, following a reinstallation of my current windows 10 OS.

While OpenGL is a standard, Intel may have screwed up their driver compliance with that standard.  Perhaps some part of the Intel implementation broke in Windows 10, but doesn't show up in other OSes.  That's just a hypothesis though.

As also stated in my way earlier chats i dont use or have any nVIDIA or AMD/Radeon Driver.

Yet i've seen other dell inspiron systems with pretty much the same intel drivers as mine play this game smoothly without this particular issue, or any other system issue for that matter (like video ram and overclocking incapabilty issues).

Have you tried contacting anyone at Intel?  There may be some option in their driver that causes things to render incorrectly within the game.

You mean OpenGL is rendering incorrectly with Windows 10?

Sorry i know this is alot of images to go through, i kinda liked taking photos of them as it made it feel extra special, so i just snapped with no care in the world. But now i really got to understand that a certain some or most of the detailed visual anomalies harbour this issue for me.

I await your feedback any time soon or later.  :)

Thank you, Dagart.

I'm currently on the latest update [v1.0.25] as instructed in your following procedure.

Yet this particular anomaly still persists, though I have noticed smoother performance when switching to the next higher quality level [fast], from my usual quality level [simple], which there seems to be no noticeable minor lag difference, as seen in previous versions, thank kindly for this.

Still here are two screenshots one of my current save game files.

I will continue to start multiple new games to see how well this goes for randomness in planetary anomaly generation, and in process await further instructions

Thank you.

Hello Topher69eze!

Thanks again to you for your very complete bug report ;)

I think we have all the information we need.

We fixed some bugs for the integrated Intel graphic devices in the 1.0.25 preview version of the game. You can try it to check if that correct your visual issues:

  • Right click on the game in your Steam Library
  • Select Properties
  • Select the Betas tab
  • Select the 1.0.25 build in the drop down list

If you still have some visual bugs, tell me and we will continue to improve the compatibility with your graphic card.

Description

My name is Topher. I play the game ENDLESS SPACE_2, I seem to be having the same problem. Particularly to my '4-planet' home system [Ibany] in the game, I have two planetary anomalies [Garden of Eden, Kessler's Syndrome], regarding the "Garden of Eden"- IBANY IV planet, it has some kind of visual error due to its anomaly, whereby there are [for lack of a better term] "patches" on and around the planet that open holes through the 3D image of the planet rendering a see-through effect, whereby IBANY III [as seen below] has no such visual error, and displays its 'KESSLER'S SYNDROME' stunningly and perfectly.

Though the game is stable with respect to the other minor issues mentioned above, it is the anomaly issue I that is of high priority. I have put screenshots of my gameplay as well as my system information, any feedback will be gratefully appreciated thank you.

Version: V1.0.52 S5 GOLD-Public.

Reproducibility: Its reproducability is not probable. due to evidence that some anomalies do not show this bug, and cannot be determined before the game starts.

My suggestion would recommend a player to Pre-design (if not all) most of the system details with limit to how many can be probable, to how many cannot, or to how many can or will be good or bad planetary features, resources, anomalies and planet size.

My System features and capability.

This has also happened on other various home systems of my other save files, like this one Im currently playing, and its autosaves.

4P_ULTRA.COOL.RED.DWARF_TRAPPIST_gardenofeden.zip

AutoSave 72.zip

AutoSave 71.zip

this is all i can spare at the moment, i await any reply, thank you.

Quick question - In your screenshots, nowhere I see mentionned a dedicated AMD/Nvidia GPU and your DxDiag states the display card name "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family"

Can you confirm that you're indeed running the game on an integrated Intel graphic device, or do you have a dedicated GPU?

Thank you :)

There is no AMD/Nvidia GPU or any form of of "Dedicated GPU" Present in or on my system.

It is only "Intel Inside CORE i7"

These are my stated adapter properties, along with my system settings

As stated in two of my screenshots in earlier comments, i use:

Windows 10 Pro,

Dell inspiron i5-5547 4th Generation Series Laptop

Inter(R) Core(TM) i7-4510 CPU @ 2.00GHz~2.60GHz Processor

16.0 GB Installed RAM

64-bit OS.

Which also reflects in my devce manager as "Inter(R) HD Graphics Family" and processors below.

Is this what you meant by confirmation? If by any chance do these help? What else should I confirm?

My apologies on this late system check-up.

Out of concern, I have just done a system requirement check to play "Endless Space_2" on the following website:  https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/endless-space-2/14509

As it states my system does not meet the "minimum" or "recommended" specifications required to run Endless Space_2.

Regardless of my current"visual planetary anomaly issue" I'm able to play it normally, with out any crashes or what so ever.

Is this also an unforseen problem or risk to my system, If I may ask, given the known system requirements, how is this possible?  :/

Long story short, this is me confirmng that I am  indeed running the game on an integrated Intel graphic device. Though this should be impossible.

Mmh I've checked your DeviceID and it seems your Intel Card is just above the minimum specs so that shouldn't be an issue :)

I'll look into your problem today - in the mean time can you make sure your drivers are up-to-date and validate your game files through Steam?

Cheers,

Hello again, thank you for the feedback and advice thus far, I've been able to play through turns a bit longer and possibly better, though I've seen kinda less of the anomaly obstruction, and more very nice new update features, i do wonder, concerning this particular "visual anomaly bug" that im still experiencing, do i still need to send game data details for regular check-up on my part, since it's been roughly a month since my last one. Just out of curiosity.
