But i guess acess to an alpha build even before early access will be something exclusively for VIPs here on the board.

I cannot wait for it either, maybe we can play some Multiplayer during it as well eh? smiley: smile

Hmm, a Linux version of the game would be fantastic. even though I don't use it myself at the moment, I've had some experience with the operating system and if it weren't for compatibility issues with a good deal of games I'd likely be using that instead of windows 10. I wouldn't doubt that the early access release would be windows only, but it'd be great if they where able to squeeze that compatibility later in development.

I'm not a Linux user, but I'm hoping Vulkan becomes the dominant renderer so it will hope everyone who isn't on Windows 10.

Sometimes going in fresh is a more rewarding experience, don't be too sad!

This playtest only had a few spots, and we had lots of applicants. Sorry you didn't make it this time, but there might be others! smiley: smile

Thanks for this answer. I can´t read there threads, because my english is "not so good". Little texts I can write and understand (partially). Thanks to Google Translate :-) But I most can't really write, what I want to say, because I dont know the right mode of expression.

1) Dont understand all, but sound nice. Only with Augmented Reality or there 3D-Things I can not do anything with, because bad eyes. But that´s a personal thing. Mainly the game can be played on a normal screen and in windowed mode and texts are big enough. (Endless Space 1 is OK, but an option to make the font bigger would be nice)

2 ) I´m sad, that Linux will not be supported. Microsoft is nerving me with this fu**ing and incomplete Windows Spy (I mean 10, did you read the Privacy Policy - horribly) and private I go more and more to Linux. (But Linux is pretty stubborny. So it takes time.) (I´m Administrator in a company, so I´m realy not good to talk about this GWX-Shit)

3) Endless Space is a little bit like chess and chess also have no story. So it´s OK, but some missions like in Anno 1503, CivCity Rome or Pharaoh would be nice (Yes old games smiley: smile)Some missions can spice up the game-experience . What do you think to integrate some random missions in a endless game that random comes up?

5) smiley: sadblue But 'I like it, if texts are read aloud. Gives atmosphere and see supported sentence on point 1

6) OK, you know there games - great. And do you think, that some elements can be implemented in Endless Space 2?

Perhaps you can give sometimes some news to german press and game pages. Than I can understand it completely smiley: biggrin

Hi,

I have to work at this time, so I want to ask my questions here. Perhaps you read and answer some of them. Would be nice

1) What are the main differences between Endless Space 1 and Endless Space 2?

2) Will there be a linux version?

3) Will there be a (little) campaign- / story- / or mission-mode?

4) Will there be a german version near the Early Access version is released?

5) Will there be (localized) voices in the game? I like games in which events are read aloud.

6) I don´t know if you know browser-games like ogame or earthlost, but it would be great if some components of there games can be implement in Endless Space. I think on things like spying, expandable building or commodity looting at the enemy's planets. It would be a nice game-element.

7) Will there be a tutorial game or an advisor? I think it's useful for beginners

8) Will there be difference fight scenes? In Endless Space it's always the same and at five times it's boring

9) Will there be fights at planet's surface?

1) Endless Space 2 is a reimagined version of Endless Space, taking into account lessons learned from the first game as well as Endless Legend. Gameplay asymmetry will be higher than in Space, but lower than in Legend. Battles will be led a bit differently, with all decisions taken at the start. A new "Augmented Reality" overlay will offer a deeper level of insight to experienced players, while keeping the polished and beautiful visuals of Endless Space for everyone. Honestly, there's quite a lot going on and I feel like I've only brushed the surface. Please take a look at this thread for a better overview of what we plan on doing. smiley: smile

2) We're not making any promises of this kind at this time.

3) Story in Endless Space 2 is not canon as much as "brought about by quests", to offer a different story every time. As such, the game will not have a campaign.

4) Early Access will most likely only feature English.

5) This is unlikely, as voice-over work is rather expensive.

6) We definitely know about these games. I was a pretty mediocre Ogame player at some point myself. smiley: stickouttongue

7) These elements are usually added at the end of a game's production phase, so it's a little early to say. We're looking at ways to make the game easier to get into, but if something of the kind does happen, it will not be available for Early Access

8) Absolutely! Check out the "Battle Arena" section of this game design document on Space Battles.

9) Details haven't been released regarding ground battles, this is material for a future game design document. smiley: smile

Hope this helps!

So Q2 is the current rumored date for early access? It's going to be a pain to wait that long, but it'll be worth it.

From what I read on reddit AMA with Romain, early access won't be on 2016 Q1.

That's good for my processor and graphic card.

Not for my craving!!!! Even having XCOM2 to mitigate it!!!!

Need ES2!!

If the Multiplayer is only as nearly as good I imagine it for ES 2. I can probably quit playing any other online game ; )

Does Amplitude plans to give interested players Early-Access to Endless Space 2? If the language is german I would use it.

If they're planing early access for 2016 Q1, and seeing the pace at GDDs are appearing, will it be before all GDDs are posted??

I don't think so.

And they can't do it. On February 5th there's XCOM2! If you addES2 early access, it will make my i7 die from overuse!!

Said that I'll buy ES2 for sure, but wait at least until finished my first XCOm2 gameplay (even if I had to do it in the lowest difficulty lvl).
