No heroes option

Good day everyone.
I want to ask, is that possible to create "No heroes" option in endless space 2?
Can this option be included into a game without making game imbalanced?

It would probably be feasible, but as to whether that would be anything anybody would want, I'm curious why you would suggest doing without it? :)

In Endless Legend was one problem - in city with some industrial goventors(Cultists, Wild Walker) or Necrophage you can build every researched building and all districts in era II and after that you will still have production to build good militaty while keeping you's population growing.

But, without heroes as goventors - this situation happens very rare.

But, as for me - game can be a bit more interesting, when you think how to specialize you's city\solar system instead of building everything.

This idea came for me after I played in endless space with "Harmony". Idea of dust-hero-less gameplay was pretty interesting for me.

Its an interesting concept, but i feel the opposite would also be fun, a game mode where you play as only the Hero traveling the Universe, getting hired by the Major and Minor factions as you make your way in the Galaxy.

Keep the turn base style, could be fun thing to look at. look at it in the same way Civ did Starships, but do it better..

I don't think this thing can be done inside strategic game. May be in complete another game.

but it would be a fun game, I would like to see it done to EL, as I think it would work best like that, even enabling you to enter dungeons and cities and such

I know you answered as to why, but I feel like a simply mod would probably serve you better. Just wait for the game, try it, and if you still feel like Heroes are something you don't want to deal with, mod the game on release and just set their appearance to never occur.

There is popular game in russia - "Space rangers II". In Steam - "Space rangers HD". It is a sandbox game, where you control single ranger, which is a independent part of coalition military. As said in game - "Ever ranger is his own army, supply and commander". Game target - coalition victory in war.

It was pretty cool game, but it isn't popular outside Russia, because many parts of this game contains links to russian culture.

May be NeonGoo think something like this, but in the endless universe.
