Upgrade / repair dust costs are indeed too high. It is always easier for me to just create a new fleet than to upgrade...

You can use auto-repair support modules to help mitigate the damage.

But yes, I do agree that repairing ships is just ridiculously costly.

Agreed. Having to pay all your dust five turns into the game to repair half of your exploration ship's HP because you ran into a pirate is just terrible.

It's a bit messy at the moment. We're going to improve it soon. For now, you need to select at least two fleets to be able to select the hero's ship

To select several fleets at the same time, use ctrl+ click. It also works when selecting the hero fleet and a hangar.
