timelord was the name used for the mechamlical being in ES1 in the gamefiles i think (the clockwork type guys) if i remember well

There's no one who would like that to be true more than me, but I find it quite unlikely. If they're in, then there is no room for a new major faction other than the Unfallen.

Seriously?  I could see them being minor factions but UE and Horatio, when Vaulters are such a high chance as well, seems very very unlikely as anything other than minor factions.

What do you mean? High chance for the Vaulters to be a major faction?

Because after seeing the XML files, I'd say that chance is 0%.

But there are already entries in there for both the UE and the Horatios.

My personal guess is that it'll be the Mezari and that they'll be a fusion of the UE and the Vaulters stylistically.

There are a few that I spotted in this screen. Do you recognize anything else?

The XML for ground combat names both United Empire & Horatio. Not Terrans.

Again, what was found in game files:

6 - United Empire

7 - Horatio

8 - totally new faction

And why Pilgrims? I love them too, but we already have shipbound religious faction.
