@Sotnik that strange yep but with the mavros (who look really like Sophon) and the other clue they give about the fact the faction know each other, that could be interresting, maybe they try first but gave up or see some pilgrim who roam where the sophon live

I think in the next update, Pilgrim could replace the Haroshem minor faction in the Sophon homeworld

We are coming closer. We have UE. We have their wonderfully looking ships. We have Vaulters in the files. Everything we need is them to become a Major faction. Not minor.

Well, it would be pretty simple to recreate Vaulters. I would just use the UE look and Sophon affinities and that would be the Vaulters/Mezari. But you know, it is not the right feeling. There would be no lore and the ships would be just a copy of the UE. Also no teleportation and fast expansion. 

Soon everything shall become clear.

No worries - I actually got super lucky as the tweet revealing them was made just as I happened to be checking the wiki. I wasn't actually expecting there to be anything new until after the Stream this afternoon.

You are wrong about the Vaulters.

I've already posted my findings from the XML files and they are definitely in (see previous page), at least as a minor race.

Besides there are already many artwork pieces showing Vaulters.

It is very interesting that Pilgrim description refers to other factions. However, it may feel inconsistent whenever a galaxy does not include UE and/or Sophons. I believe such concerns were implied when the devs forbid references to other factions in the conditions of the Unfallen lore contest.

Just want to say that Z'vali is a great concept with a slight flavor of self-irony ;D

Just a thought but could "AffinityEmperor" perhaps be the Sheredyn seeing as they were initially the UE Emperor's personal guard? Either that or they're the only ES1 faction that won't be returning this time.

Don't count them out just yet... ES1 had more factions and heroes added after release. 

They may not be added before launch, but we might still see them later on as a Minor Faction.

Well, that's pleasantly unexpected. I thought that Update 1 was scheduled for the first week of December, not right before Thanksgiving!

It's also good to see the Pilgrims returning, even if they're only a minor faction. What with the Vodyani filling the nomadic, religious theme, and the revelations regarding major factions that other users found in the game files, I wasn't expecting them to be major anyways. It'll be nice to play with them regardless.

I'm just a little surprised that the Pilgrims have the Scientist, rather than Religious, ideology - but their mystical fascination with the universe is put on display with the science bonus their pop units get from anomalies, which definitely fits. I do hope that Pilgrim population ideology is NOT inherently anti-religious as is the case with the other scientific factions; that would seem to go against their lore from the previous title.

Meanwhile, the Z'vali seem veeery interesting. Virtual reality specialists, their inherent population yield is half the approval bonus of the Kalgeros, but - if I'm reading this right - they also grant +3 science per pop if the system is Happy? Very cool, and looking forward to learning more about them.

The wiki mentions that Z'vali and Pilgrims are nomadic and semi-nomadic, respectively - does this mean what I think it does, that they will travel across the galaxy in fleets or big ships rather than be found settled on a single world, as with the other minor factions?  Guess we'll see tomorrow!
