it seems they are all only equipped with laserbeams, which makes them only work in close range. They dont get into close range with the player usually is my guess

This is already ingame, just play with hard minor factions and you should see it.

These are indeed part of a new set of ships for Minor Factions. Since Minor Factions are also filling the role of space pirates when you don't have good relationships with them, they double as marauders.

they are called Jaw ( if i record correctely), and they are from the reavers ( pirate). They begin with a splicer ( small ship), after a while they strike you with 2 splicer and this one. 

I'm still not convinced it is a pirate ship. It's too organic.

I still think this might be something tied to the Concrete Endless. Maybe we'll have something akin to the Antaran hit and run in MoO2?

I don't care how corny they made it, this would make them the best pirates since the pirates in Sins of a Solar Empire.

If it is, I've never seen it in action before.

All Minors use the Prowler model still.

I think that's the ship style of another minor.

So could that ship belong to the Concrete?

Looks pretty rad. I'd bomb planets with it.

I love how it looks i hope we can use different looking ships in our fleets.
