A bit late, but my two cents. 

My guess is that more then a few Endless Legend races survived the big freeze. 

As for the Vaulters? 

While we know the Gray Owl lifted off and then promptly got 'blown up' (Maybe!) 

There is still the Argosy. I would honestly be shocked if the Vaulter Clan leaders put all of their eggs in just one basket when itd be safer to invest their resources in repairing both ships, so in case one of them expierences some kind of failure it doesnt jeopardize the whole plan. The Gray Owl might have been easier to repair and been the first one sent off while the Argosy would follow shortly after. 

No one expect the brainwashing manipultors to hitch a ride for some reason.

One of the devs confirmed that "Zouieina" is a Mezari name in origin, so that hero wasn't actually a Vaulter before he became Vodyani.

The Vaulters are somewhat stuck in Limbo along with the Automatons, as in, they might exist in the rebooted universe, or they may not. Nobody knows for sure.

Uh ? weird, into the lore of Varb St Zouieina, they speak about the Zolya Clan, clan who was born into Auriga :o

Or maybe they're a second Zolya clan ?  (and Also, Zouieina is a virtual endless who merge with Varb, not Varb Himself)

So they're not into the limbo and hope exist :p

It would be really cool to have an Auriga related quest where it would delve a bit deeper on the planet's history. I mean, there has to be TONS of fossils and archeological sites under the ice. Just like discovering a wooly mammoth corpse in real life, you could see some frozen Tetike village or something equally bizarre once you proceed with the quest.

And accidentally resurrecting one of EL factions.... a good idea...

Most likely to ressurect is the Broken Lords faction. If the hero Samhane Haligtide can hibernate and be revived during winter by luxury resources, then I suppose the same could be applied to the other Broken Lords. Maybe they are like vampires... Vampires without blood hibernate until someone drops blood on their mouths. Maybe a frozen Broken Lord will hibernate until unfrozen and revived by Dust and/or some specific luxury resource.

They would be the gods of the ground combat, by transforming their foes into their own soldiers. They are also more insidious, and more resilient ennemies than Cravers.
