Is there somewhere I can see structures on a system that I've already built and perhaps remove them? I assume you can I just can't find it.

Yes.

Click on the system you want to see where you get the system overview. then it's on the third or second panel on the left. It's directly below and to the left of the system image. It's on the right, and looks like a circle with an arrow in it.
