I recently purchased the Definitive Edition on my Mac, and after I loaded it up, I discovered that several of the assets were missing, most notably the United Empire's faction leader only having a black silhouette. Steam would also not let me create a desktop shortcut, claiming the game was damaged. Any help would be much appreciated

I also am running across a bunch of missing assets. This wasn't a problem the last time I installed ES2 a year or so ago.

In addition to this asset, sometimes I lose logos of the star systems, background of tasks and components. The problem is that they are random for each start of the game.
