End turn stuck turn 57/58 as Nakalim 6 months ago

Came here from https://steamcommunity.com/app/392110/discussions/0/4293691425577594833/. My game is stuck on turn 57/58 while playing as Nakalim. When I hit end turn it never completes. I can use the menus, but my turn never comes up again. I tried clearing all the notifications, loading several autosaves before the bug, but haven't been able to get past it.

After ending the turn I waited 5 minutes before exiting to desktop. usually turns take about 10 seconds to process. Win Pro, x64, i9-13900K, 64GB RAM, GeForce RTX 4080, 2 TB SSD (1 TB free), had to implement the OPENSSL_ia32cap workaround for the game to run at all, drivers are up to date.

bug with new update 6 months ago

I cant play the game since the last update, the game launch but if i try to make a new game i got the red screen with the "bug and report to g2g".

I have try this without mods, without custom faction and without moddingtools and it still doesnt work.

I tried the previous versions and i got bugs i never had before : the anomalies on the planets are bugged and does nothing but only show the number like "+2" with no FIDSI after.

i reinstalled the game and it still doesnt work...

Can you help me to solve that?

My game crashes on startup 6 months ago

When loading the game, when you launch it, the load reaches approximately 75 percent and the game crashes with a pop-up window showing logs.
I run the game on an asus zenbook 14 oled 2024 laptop. It has an intel core 7 ultra 155h processor with a built-in ARC video card.

I have abducted at least 4 sleepers in my last game ending on turn 129 thanks to an endless end turn bug but NONE were added to my only system. What is happening here?

Do they have to travel back to that system?

ES2 Academy Attack Master Fleet docked bug 9 months ago

hi! i am currently playing the patchpreview update on steam. in my play session, i used the diplomatic option of spawning an academy fleet and i also received an academy fleet as a quest reward. i docked these fleets in different starsystems by disbanding them, with the expectation that i'd be able to create a fleet from those ships when i needed to. however, this wasn't the case and i can neither create a fleet from these ships or scrap them.

because i would really like to continue session, is there an easy mod fix for this bug?

otherwise, perhaps the disband option shouldn't be available for the academy fleet if there is no way to later retrieve them.

Steam account linking problem a year ago

I've already seen this issue on forums here but they are around 4 years old and yet I still got a similar problem. When I link my steam account with this one I get no rewards and no notification that I can claim them. I've already tried linking my account again and yet this ancient bug still bothers me. Help me please.

Horatio quest bug 2 years ago

Im playing a game with his high perfection Horatio but the chapter 2 of the main quest wich is to kill the fleet of Horatio Prime seems to be bugged. Ive kill one of the two and i cant seem to find the second one, ive look all around the map and there is no sign of it, no flashing point wandering around and no compass that i can click on it to try to find it. Is it possible an ennemy empire killed it making the main quest impossible to complete?

Just got a computer with Apple Silicon and macOS Monterey. Endless Space 2 runs beautifully — except for some of the graphics. I tried a full reinstall, but that didn't help. I've got the latest version on Steam but no DLC, just vanilla ES2. What gives?

I recently purchased the Definitive Edition on my Mac, and after I loaded it up, I discovered that several of the assets were missing, most notably the United Empire's faction leader only having a black silhouette. Steam would also not let me create a desktop shortcut, claiming the game was damaged. Any help would be much appreciated

Game hangs on Game launched and ready 3 years ago

I have an issue where save files (only lategame ones?) do not load, it simply hangs at about 3gb of memory use during loading on the 'Game launched and ready' stage. I've been trying pretty much everything to fix this myself but nothing has worked. I have no special characters in either directory for steam or documents and I'm not using any mods, only official dlc. I've had no luck getting an answer (even if it's to go pound sand we aren't interested in fixing it) in either discord or steam channels.

Ship Design Bug (Nakalim) 3 years ago

Hey, there! Its been a while seens I've encountered bugs in Endless Space 2, but this one is quite...unpleasant. Thing is, that in ship design menu the module slots are all over the place in my most recent game. Its the first time I'm playing the Nakalim and I'm not sure if this bug is specific for them. I tried to start over, but the problem persists. I didn't find anything helpful on the internet, so I guess the bug is quite rare, if not unique. Some of the modules are still usable, while others are completely hidden (which I realized almost 100 turns left), so its basically prevents me to fully customize my ships.

Any suggestions?

Quests 3 years ago

All quests in which the reward is units are not counted. When you try to complete them, the units do not appear. In the quest, the mark on the map where you need to do the quest disappears. Further quest completion becomes impossible.

Update:

It turns out that the quest doesn't work when the quest requires you to explore the ruins. Whenever you explore the ruins with a quest for the first time, nothing happens, and the second time there is a normal exploration. It is not possible to complete quests with ruins.

Hi,

I know this must have been one of the most often re-posted issue from 4 years ago to this date, but it seems like all my campaigns end up with endless turn issue and as such I cannot currently play with this game at all...

Can I get someone who looks into it?

I play on Windows, via Steam, own all DLC/Expansions. I usually play with all race included large galaxies (12 players) and single player only.

My latest play-through would have been with the Nakalim and my game dies on turn 145. I have zero unresolved action with anything, all AI shows as ready. I am able to provide files as well. (my previous campaign was with the Empire and it lasted for about round 400 with the same details otherwise...). Can provide saves for both.

Im playing Endless space 2 with a friend and my ingame animations are missing: I know there is one when you colonise a planet but thats the one im missing! i really like them i would really like to see them again so does somebody has a fix ? Steam verifying and reinstall doesnt work and it doesnt work in single nor in multiplayer please help !?!?

Game crashing 4 years ago

The game on my computer works normally, but when performing some functions within the game it ends up crashing and closing. For example ... after assigning a new hero to a system, when I click the mouse to manage the system and see the planets, the game crashes. 

Does anyone know what it would be? I already checked and validated the game files on steam but everything is fine.

Because of this problem I can never continue the game and I end up losing my most recent save.

Bug in a cravers main quest 4 years ago

Hey, I've asked the same question on steam discussions but haven't got any answers yet.

Just started my first playthrough as cravers but it seems I cant complete their main quest which says to explore a curiosity after battling some unidentified ship. The thing is I have already explored the system, where the battle was, before this quest and there are no curiosities left. Is there any way to complete this quest now or am I doomed forever?
