Assign hero to ship of your faction

DEVs clearly stated that they want heroes to stick with the academy design as it is just too much work to create and animate so many variations. Endless Legend was way more graphical and had more variation than this, but ok.

I think that we do not need special ships, option to assign a hero to ship of my faction would totally suffice. I dont need him to have his own ship, just his experience and bonuses to fleet passively are enough for him to be there.

I sadly hate the heroes as they are and I love Endless games so much. Heroes in Endless Legend were nice and unique. These are all the same just with different portraits. That is just plain boring and looks so much out of place. In EL the were physically present, so that worked nicely. But in space game where they are in their ships I want my hero to represent that faction and sit in my flagship carrier.

Only time I pick hero out of my race in ANY Endless game is when I assign him to govern its own race assimilated by my faction.

That should not be hard to code in any way as a feature as it does not require any desig, modeling or animation and would be huge difference in immersion feel of my play. I would gladly give up his ship for him to be able to sit in one of my own. I can even imagine amoeba commander sitting in his own water tank on a bridge of a carrier made by another race lore vise. And it is way more fitting in a space game.
