Black List: AI, Curves, Diplomacy, GroundBattle, MinorFactions, Quests, Settings, Siumlation, Statistics and Achievements

White List: Audio, Documentation, Documents, Gui, Localization, Mapping, Shaders.

It might be useful to edit the opening post of the thread to include this info to show that it is easily feasible.

I think it may be difficult for the game to distinguish between mods that have a mechanical function, and mods that are purely aesthetic.

in this day and age if you couldn't make it so visual mods wouldn't disable achievements then as a game designer you need more practice. And if for some reason it would not work then let the community know and maybe something could be done then.

When uploading, it could automatically flag the mod as "achievement disabled mod" They could probably just do it by directory, because in the mod, you have to duplicate the directory structure as well, which also would be easy to detect.
