The Tactics are a great way to add strategy to your battles, and the limitations on how much tactics you can choose from are somewhat quite well balanced. 5 different tactics to choose from a larger pool (around 20 in my last game) and locked beyond an influence cost to avoid switching to much and force real strategy choices is really interesting.
But I have a UI issue with the current display of the pool of available tactics to choose from, especially in the end game. It becomes really tedious to navigate between 15+ tactics to compare them. And the order in which they are seems... not really precise.
I promise, I will get to my point.
The main issue I have is that currently, when you have too much different tactics, if you want to select one kind in particular, you have to go over all your tactics.
Would it be possible to order them with filters like :
- Type of card : Defence, Offence, Special
- Positioning : Long, middle, short range (and you could weight the cards with multiple range to position them in a good order depending on the overall positioning of the card)
- Weapon/defence type : bonus to energy, bonus to projectile, bonus to hull absorbing, bonus to shield.
- Most used : it explain itself I guess
It is mostly a UI quality of life improvement that I would like added to the game. I know that too much complexity in the UI is the ban of a good UI, but it could be a nice adding to a really polished game.
