I am curious on how to increase the size of my academy. I feel like ive given a thorough look through the research trees but cannot find anything.

Any help would be great!

The academy size advances are on the left side of the tree:

Futuristic Game Theory/Alien Resources nets you an increase of two in your academy size.*

Perfect Forecasting/Alien Leadership nets you an increase of three in your academy size.

It's different for Horatio. Futuristic Game Theory/Alien Resources come much sooner on the research tree. Also, Alien Leadership is replaced by Alien Integration which gives you a 3-cap-size increase and allows three more clones. This gives you six more heroes and all six can be clones. Very powerful. If you like heroes, try Horatio or--even better--a custom race with Horatio affinity.

I don't know if the tree is different for any other races, but the tech should still be on the left side.

*Note: It's possible to have a larger academy size than you have heroes available for hire.

Nice! Thanks a bunch. Is it just me or are the descriptions for the techs a little vague about what you actually get from them? Anywho, thanks again.

Go to maximum zoom on the tech tree and then mouse over the individual items and you'll get a nice description what they do.

Also, after a few games, you'll remember certain key techs you'll want to go for as soon as you can, and you'll remember right where they are on the tree.

Hello guys, after a year or so I decided to boot up the game and hit some new turns

back to thread question:

I noticed production waste and would like you to confirm my doubt about that.

when ie. an item costs 4 turns to complete and it's remaining turns left to complete in the queue is, say 3 turns and then you remove the item and add it back to queue you'll notice that turns to complete the item is 4 turn now, meaning that 1 turn have been lost just because you removed it and then add it back to the queue?

Removing an item from the queue causes you to lose any progress, yes. Endless Legend is nice enough to warn you about it but Space does not. What you want to do instead is to drag the item to the bottom of the queue.
