Recently returned playing Endless Space and also bought Endless Legends and Dungeon of the Endless. I got interested in the lore of the games and decided to play as Valuters in ES. I was a bit disapointed and suprised when i saw their ships designs. If I'm not mistaken they look same as Empire ships... Any one knows if there are some plans to give them unique look? Lore vise Valuters and Empire don't sems ralated.

What we actually know about Vaulters lore:

(DotE) Unknown humanoid faction (from Earth) send ship, to colonise new planet - Auriga. Ship was destroed, but few people survived. They decide to hide underground and live there. We know them as Vaulters ancestors.

(EL) Many years after, Vaulters was pushed to leave their underground city. But the earthquake was just a signal, that planet slowly dies. In order so survive, Vaulters recreate spaceship technologies and abandon the Auriga (wasn't mentioned in game).

(ES) What game wiki tell about Vaulters: "An ancient faction, the Vaulters have suffered a number of major setbacks in trying to establish a permanent home for themselves", "Once based on the planet Auriga, they left the planet when their predictions indicated potentially cataclysmic geo-atmospheric problems", "In recent times, one Vaulter clan, the Zolyas, rediscovered the location of Auriga and sought to make it their new homeworld".

So, Valuters and Empire can be related to each other.

The Pilgrims are far more related and they have their own ships looks.



EDIT: Seems You can unlock a image in Journal in DotS that tell the original ship was Empire ship. Even despite that I feel Valuters just like Pilgrims should have their own look of ships - they being cut from Empire for vast unknown time - long to develop distinct culture.

Maybe they get around to making unique ships for the Vaulters when they get around to actually keeping their promise of unlocking the Vaulters for everyone with Disharmony. So I wouldn't hold my breath waiting.

Exactly. We didn't even get the Vaulters , let alone time and effort in reskinning them.

Well that a fair point. Was just expecting that because I had to pay extra to get them they would be fully done and shining It's not a big thing but nevertheless.
