Slightly unfair (and funny) starting constellation

The "rules" of "balancing" or "making fair" the map generation would make the game boring ad repetitive.

Now I am not sure how fast I get the right resources so I must adapt to current conditions.

Someone mentioned Starcraft example. Do you really want to make it like Starcraft where you need to scout the enemy base in the proper time from the beginning to know what type of army composition or strategy is the oponnent planning?

If I start a game in a really tough and/or poor conditions it even encourages me.

I do not play this game to see the ending score or to win - I play for the game.

When I am starting to dominate the galaxy I even loose the fervor.

I really like the complete randomness of the map generation - it should stay as it is.

Just researched applied casmir affect, There's an epic system on the other side of the shorter wormhole with 2 Terran and a huge jungle. It might not be such a bad start after all smiley: wink

Well, at least you're Sophons, so you can turn the tax rate (almost) all the way down and get a huge multiplier on what tech output you do have...

Other than that, my reaction is basically, "Owned!"

Win the game anyway!

And give us the game seed ofc.

Is it even known how to get the seed of a game?

And it's only a three-planet system, too, so it's not like you can build up a massively good system before you emerge from your isolation! Ah, well, go and win anyway! smiley: smile

Sadly another example of some of the stupid oversights in this game.

What? I think random galaxy generation like this is pretty interesting.

Maybe in single player, but this game needs a balanced mode that attempts to remove a large amount of RNG that would screw over anyone, such as this situation.

I think it's in the save game xml near the top. open the save in an archive tool like 7zip and then open the lone file inside in a text editor like notepad++ and search for seed

If you use the same settings and seed number you'll get the same galaxy every time, like they do in the 30 turn challenges. So just go find one with similar starting locales.

As for the OP that location blows. And i thought ive been screwed before lol.

If you check the game manual available through the Steam library for the game it tells you where to find the seed number. At least I am pretty sure I read it in there. If you are unsure about other things in this game it doesn't hurt to go through that manual. It is interesting, informative and better than most of the ones produced by major mainstream companies. smiley: smile

Page 41 in the manual. IN the options menu in game gives you the seed number.
