I love what i see so far, but I am wondering what is being done to make more people aware of this game? A lot of new games are going with the indie route, such as kick starter, or Desura. Is there a plan to do the same for this game?

I would like to see more people aware of this game, aka, more traffic in the forum.

That doesnt stop the game from becoming known quite fast

As for more ppl becoming aware of the game, well skamaks will surely try hard at this but ofcourse we as gamers will also spread the word and gain atleast XP by doing it with the referral-function of the forums once that gets activated. And lets face it... whats more important in life than leveling

yeah I caught on from the No High Scores link... and this being one of my favorite genres moved my butt (fingers) the rest of the way to actually register. why complain about another boring game design when you can complain (read: consult) ahead of time?

how many need to join the forum for the polls to have real statistical significance?

And where do I mail in *cough* ballots of all those who think the game should be pink and neon green with fluffy creatures running amok? no wait Star Wars already patented that.

Well the suggestions are looked through by the devs and if they consider it good and there is support for it then it has a strong chance to make it into the game.

However the final decision always rests with them.

Just make a post about it instead in a new thread if there is no similar thread availble. That way it might get attention enough too.

Hey puddlejumper83, thanks for the support!

we actually sent the press release to a lot of different sites but I guess the GDC made updating news with non-GDC info a little complicated this week.

We still hope they will publish our news as soon as the GDC is over or as soon as they have an open slot. Fingers crossed!

Concerning sites like Kickstarter, they are mainly for dev teams looking for crowdfunding, which is not our case. We simply want to have an open discussion with you about our game design and content and hope to develop that philosophy as much as possible.

For Desura, it's a great concept but we are already working with Valve on implementing Steamworks which proposes a lot of similar functions.

This is a refreshing, shocking, delightful, *insert gushing adjective here* perspective.

good to hear. I wish you guys success, and I'll be tracking this game. 4X is probably my fav genre, and it's a shame that there arent that many good 4X games out. Master of Orion is an old man (a good man albeit), and Sword of the Stars dev just screwed up it completely, sigh...

But you guys give me hope. smiley: biggrin
