10 minutes Space Strategy Game

Sometimes you want a game to last at least a year. And sometimes you have kids and whatnot and you'd like to 4X in less than 15 minutes.

While I wait for some good games to be released, I play 10 minutes Space strategy Games. In fact it'll take a little more than 10 minutes, but not so much.

If you have 50 hours, yes, for sure. But what I find brilliant with this game is that it has the same flavour as a good 4X but with very few elements.

You can customize your race, and each game you can unlock some special techs that are randomly chosen (for instance you can expand the range of stellar station by 1 hex if you have a score of 5 in propulsion and in empire), so there's a lot of replaybility.



The principle is easy : you have planets, you can build some things on them (2 on small planets, 3 on medium and 4 on large). There's a building for fighters, one for bombers, one for tech, and some others. Each race has some special building.

Each turn, each planet with the right building build fighters and/or bombers. Fighters fight space battles, bombers are for bombing planets (there's a trait that let the bomber participate to battle). Battles are automatic.

You can send colonizer to get new planets. You can build stellar station and choose a bonus (for war, production, movement or space anomalies)

In space there's anomlaies, if you let fighters on them you can get a %age bonus in research, construction or population growth.



The game isn't very balanced at the moment, and once you get the hang of it the fun comes from playing with random traits/race and trying to do your best with what you have.
