Help: Explore new systems

I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong. I started out as Sophon and had the tutorials enabled. I think I clicked through and missed the tutorial that showed how to explore the neighboring systems. I even played up to turn 27 before finally acquiescing to the fact that I simply don't know how to explore the next star system.

Did I not play long enough? Did I miss something?

Please help, how do I explore?

Explore...

You begin the game with 2 ships, 1 scout and 1 colony ship.

You should see a ship icon near your start system.

Click on it, you see 2 fleets, one with the colony ship, one with the scout.

Click on the line with the scout.

Now look around you, you should see lines linking your start system with other systems. Follow the line and right click on a system at the end of the line, your scout will begin to move towards that system.

After that, rinse, repeat.

Ah! I found my own answer by starting a new game

1. from the galaxy view, click the fleet icon

2. select the fleet you want to travel by clicking on them in the fleet selection window

3. right click the planet you want them to travel to

actually having a similar problem, double checked the tutorial but couldn't find out

how do you reach the systems connected with the 'wavy' lines?

Research a tech!

Those wavy lines are wormholes and can't be traveled safely at game begin.

There is a tech which enables safe wormhole travels in the explore tree.
