How demanding is it in terms of graphics/CPU?

No idea how the ai works.

I don't remember seeing any minimum specs posted, but since you asked its cpu requirements, as long as you have something greater or equal to a c2d you'll be fine. If you have any dedicated sort of graphics card you should also be fine, they don't look that taxing.

Okay. The cosmetic parts aren't a deal breaker, they're just nice if they're available (if a dev reads this: are they planned for final release/an expansion/a DLC?).

I'll be playing this single player a LOT tho so i'm hoping someone might tell me how well the AI does.

The AI is still a work in progress but does already give you a run for your money, at least for my feelings.

I can play the game on my laptop (Vaio build 2008) with the "Fastest" Graphics settings. On my desktop (Core I7 thingie), works on fantastic settings like a charm.

These could very slightly change while we get closer to Gold.

I've only played it once but the game already feels FUN AS HELL.



I'm really bad at the game so I am a poor judge of the AI but it doesn't seem terrible and I only played vs easy AI.



No cosmetics for the ships, yet.



It seems to have a very wide range of available graphics quality from something that looks like it wouldn't be particularly taxing for a toaster, to some very beautiful graphics. That said, I have no idea how well older machines would run it.
