I am having a great time with the game so far, but i was wondering. How do I take over other star systems? Is it some kind of skill I need or what?

when you fleet is in orbit around a opnonets pllanet press the fleet look to you re left youll se tree buttons press the third button and the invations starts. it takes time and youlle see you progress under the planet. Youre collor will advanca more and more.

The button looks like two fists, by the way.

After doing this, there will be a bar with that faction's color slowly decreasing and being replaced by your faction's. It moves faster based on invasion weaponry, which can be researched in the military portion of the tech tree. Heroes can also increase their melee statistic through leveling up and putting points into skills which raise the melee stat. You'll have to make or modify a ship so that it has invasion weaponry.
