What is Amplitude planning to do ?

Release bunch of DLC's so you will be able to enjoy the game only if you have them

DLC's that include custom skins or such

Additional contest?

Um?

What do you think ?

I , myself think DLC aren't so bad , as long as they do not acomplish the game ( like if you want to be the "TOP" player , you do not need the DLC )

P.S I suck at thread starting , seriously.

DLC is fine in my opinion as long as it isn't done in an insulting money grubbing way. Nothing loses a company points with me more than getting a dlc for something that was for all intense n purposes "already on the disc/already part of the game just locked" If dlc actually adds something that wasn;t part of the original game's files and is actually something new.... Then it's a nice way to extend a games playability by adding little things.

The only problem i see though when it comes to dlc is in games like this where there's going to be mods kind of means whatever they make for dlc has to be something you cannot just get from a mod otherwise it becomes pointless.

I would be very surprised to see "alibi" DLCs to milk the cash cows.

We are dealing with real professionnals here, hence I expect the DLCs to really bring the goods and give an added value.

Just my 2 cp (and my vote of confidence)

If it is going to be DLC, make it DLC. Meaning, don't release DLC the same day as the game. That drives me crazy.

Though I do like both DLCs and expansions, even if it is just a new unit for each race, or something of that sort. Just not when it comes out within a few weeks of the game being out.

Depends on if you consider expansions as DLC or something separate. I wouldn't mind seeing an expansion adding a new civ/game modes or the what not. However the micro-transaction type DLC can be kind of bothersome. Things like new skins or unit upgrades, etc. I hope would be bundled into something bigger or just released for free.

What sounds possible is some DLC to unlock emperor and admiral edition contents or such in the future when only the normal version exists. That's assuming they keep it limited.

I remember dragon age 2, they had 3 DLCS out by the day of release.... and for me, the game felt like it was in beta phase........ so yea.

DLCs should come a while after it's been released. and about the price. If you check up dungeon defenders on steam, they have lots of small, cheap DLCs which many adds alot of stuff.

Like for example DLCs with new races etc. :3
