I logged into steam and idly scanned through the pop up of adverts which I dont normally do. Endless Space caught my attention so I came here and watched the video.



So is this like Masters of Orion, Pax Imperia, Ascendancy, Imperium Galactica etc?. It's been 15 odd years since this genre faded away.



If so a solid new entry sounds very appealing indeed, I loved all those old games.

Some elements are handled differently, like the combat system, but the game definitely belongs to this genre.

I'm not sure you could call it an "rpg". Heroes can advance but there's no "story" at the moment.

Yeah, Your heroes level up and you choose skill for them. But that's about it with them. I'm sure it'll be implemented later

Yup, this is no RPG, RPGS are story-driven and all quest lines is in the end very linear and lead to a limited number of ends.

for now the only story you have here, is faction background and hero background.
