I just get the niggling feeling that even though the (main) game is only supposed to have eight playable factions, the devs are leaving plenty of room for expansion down the road. Given the size of the race select icons, it looks like eight races won't nearly fill that entire space...

Well there wil be mod support for this game to if i have been reading correctly. Perhaps new race wil come in updates? I won't mind expansions though.

The game should be finished before the work of some expansion content begins. But I'm sure there will be all kinds of mods to cover most stuff.
