I fully agree as I have not been this hocked on a game since a long time. The alpha is really impressive, super stable and few bugs while still having loads of features. If this game was released like this in Gold I'd still call it awesome. But the MP and more features to come, made me love it even more.

Just wanted to add my voice to the admiration of the Dev's art department. I'm downloading now and will play tonight, but the interface looks super slick and the ship designs unique and interesting. Great job! And all I saw were the screen-shots / trailer. Can't wait to bite into this juicy steak of a game and slobber on the yummy goodness smiley: biggrin

Mathematically speaking, over 9000 includes positive infinity. Silly nonmathematician you. :P

But let us be humble : we were rejoicing when there were 60 people at the same time on the board. At steam launch it was over 300 (no. not over 9000! :P)

I'm still hoping for over 9000 users in total, though. At least in the long run. Let us dream. :P

We weren't so many on the forums before the steam announcement. And the vip isn't a very large group.

But look at the activity on some of us, yourself included! smiley: wink

Hey everybody,

Just noticed this game because of steam preorder and i am blown away, this looks amazing , coultn stop myself and preordered , despite my not so long ago burning with sword of the stars 2.I am a die hard fan of strategies and 4x strategies in particular (Master of orion 1,2 Galactic Civilazations 2, Sins of Solar empire, Civilazation serie,Total War serie ....)

For me it looks amazing , the features the art the trailer.Only thing i didnt dig to much is the music in the trailer, i hope it will be different in game.Im not saying its bad but somehow wasnt fitting for me.

2 short points from me:

1-You are propably short on cash for rmarketing as an independent new studio , but really some coverage , exposure would imho be good , I follow a few game portals , and am quite sensitive to 4x games and the first time out of the blue i saw this game was today on steam. So my guess is not many poeple heard about it.

2-Take your time make it good. The last thing i guess the strategy fans need is another sword of the stars 2 or not so bad but also dissapointing Elemental war of magic. What i mean is you can only make once a first impression.Polish the game , polish the AI. If you need more money/time , i think preorders or kickstarter.

Good lucksmiley: smile

If Amp can nail the diplo and AI, this game can be much, much better than GalCiv 2. After playing ~30 turns I can say the depth is most definitely there.

Completely agree. Bought it first thing this morning and since I had a day off I figured I would try it for a little while... next thing I knew about 8 hours had gone by. Looks like I found my new 4X addiction smiley: biggrin

Hey there! I can't beleive I haven't heard of this game before. I recently (like 2 weeks ago) purchased Gal Civ 2 and I absolutely love it. I'm also a big fan of Civ 5. I pre-ordered, but I will keep playing Gal Civ 2 since it stills feels new to me untill the full version is released. It looks absolutely amazing!

This is my first post here, having just purchased it and tried it for a couple of hours...all I can say is TERRIFFIC! I was totally not expecting the polish and interesting new take on the old 4X theme. I am now eagerly awaiting developments as I play the already awesome alpha. KUDOS to the developers!
