Sorry if these questions have been answered elsewhere, but I couldnt find them.



1. Is there an explanation of what each tech tree research gives you? Its says something like adaptive housing and then fluff text, but what does it actually do in game?



2. Is there a way to increase fleet size? I can only handle like 7 sat dish logos but my terran opponents can do 15 and its kicking my ass with it.

To the right of the text description is a couple of icons. Mousing over them will tell you what improvements you will get. You have to be zoomed pretty far in.

Zooming all the way in, you get a very accurate description of what a given tech gives you. Like a new ship type, or the possibility to colonize a new planet and so on....



To 2. Yes, using the LEFT research tree (the one with all the diplomacy and happiness stuff and all that) you have techs which help improve your fleet sizes.

If there was a way of highlighting 'Fleet Improvements' with one click, there'd be no problem here.
