I don't know if this is a bug or if there is some tech I haven't researched yet, but I none of the planets in my constellation has a wormhole connection to the rest of the galaxy.

After exploring the 17 stars in my system I realised that none of them have a wormhole connection. So as far as I know there is no way for me to meet other races or explore further. I'm pretty new at the game and for all I know there could be a tech which allows me to roam the galaxy at will, but I haven't found that yet. So I just wanted to know if there are any such techs or if this is a bug?

There is a research route required for travel between the two, but you saying you have no link is well... funky?

They should be noticeable as they are two planets linked by basically a gas tunnel

There is a tech for safe wormhole exploration (casimir effect)

But it also depends of the galaxy you defined as you can define a galaxy without constellations at all, i.e. no need of wormholes. smiley: smile

If you have neither a fast travel lane or a wormhole link then you will need to research the tech that lets you travel outside the lanes. In some ways it's a big advantage to be on your own little area. You have a much longer time of safety to build your systems up.

Also just to be completely clear: There are no wormholes in my part of the galaxy. I'm playing a huge galaxy with several constellations (i.e. there is more of the galaxy and I'm not connected to it with strings or wormholes). I can't see any other star systems than the 17 in my constellation.

You will have to increase your visual range through research (i forget where it is off the top of my head unfortunately though) and try and find one on the distant edges of your constellation. If you are worried about not being able to find any though and don;'t want to risk it then just feel free to start a new game.

Ah no worries. I'll continue this game. Even if I don't find anyone else I still get to explore the tech tree in peace smiley: wink
