My suggetions (many) and some bugs found

I hadn't found apropriate thread to write my suggestions, so started my own. So, here are my ideas:



Diplomacy:

- Option "What can you offer me for this?" or "How can we balance this deal?" like in Civilization V.

- Trading heroes (they're mercenaries, so why not?).



Science:

- Technology description should stay visible after you've clicked on it, with possibility to read about buildings/improvements it allows. Right now you can read about them only if you zoom in to Tech tree.

- Automatic research, with selected focus (like focus on technologies, increasing DUST output).



Battles:

- Boarding parties and possibility of capturing enemy ships.

- Option not to capture enemy system, but to bombard every planet and kill everyone there - in less time, but receive empty system, maybe with some side effects (like radiation for several turns, or destroying special resourses).

- Several different tactics for fleets (offencive/normal/defencive) which provide some bonuses (like +5% atk, -5% def for offencive) and affects automatic actions in battle.

- Retreat option (not 100% success, but possible).

- Planet militia forces - each inhabited planet in system provides free starship (maybe not in every system, but only in capital) for defence - they can't be moved and are automatically produced if destroyed (Militia ships production is not affected by ordinary construction queue, or reduces construction points by several percent until all militia ships are rebuilt).



Interface:

- Mouse cursor. It's not really a problem, but sometimes game gets stuck, and it is impossible to tell if it is stuck or just loading. Different game cursor will change to system one in most cases, when the game is really stuck.

- Mouse wheel zoom-out from planets to star system view.

- Galaxy map - increase the distance where it is possible to see info about star systems.

- Selecting. It's not very comfortable (and hard to get used to it) to select several ships only by Ctrl (Shift doesn't select several ships), while Tech tree ignores Ctrl and works only with Shift.

- Menu on ESC.

- Alt-Tab combinations somehow affects zoom and camera position.

- No way to disable autosave, or select interval for it.



Forum:

- Create a subforum with players suggestions. It'll really help to sort most of the threads.



Steam:

- There is no "Play" button on game page, game can be runned only from Library.

Bugs found:

- Game disables mouse between turns (I know that it's a feature, not bug), but pirates attacked my fleet between turns and game wasn't responding on mouse clicks - so I had to wait for time-out and rely on auto battle.

- You already know about not saving resolution settings...

- Ocasionally runned game executable 2 times, when I closed one - other shut down too.

These sound like good ideas, but one stands out above the rest: I really want to disable autosave. As the game progresses your turns take longer and longer to end, and it is completely obnoxious. I'd love to be able disable or simply change the interval of the autosave feature.
